Berhampur: Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M. on Tuesday urged the puja organizers to follow guidelines for the celebrations of Dussehra this festivity season.
A meeting was conducted between the police and puja organizers in the office of SP this evening regarding the upcoming Dussehra celebrations in the silk city.
Speaking on the occasion, the Berhampur SP urged the organizers to follow the guidelines for the peaceful celebrations of the festival.
When erecting the Puja Pandals, it has to be ensured that Pandals don’t occupy the roads and block the traffic. Organizers should choose the location accordingly. The CCTV cameras shall be installed in the pandals. Timing shall be adhered to regarding music and DJ as per Supreme Court guidelines No music or sound will be allowed after 10 PM. Electrical safety has to be adhered to while taking electricity connection, the SP said.
More than 75 organizers throughout Berhampur were present and expressed satisfaction and promised to follow the guidelines.
