Berhampur: With the elections for the Berhampur Municipal Corporation over and a new team of dedicated representatives taking charge, now the time has come for action. As part of the efforts to further develop and improve various infrastructure works in Ward No 38 of BeMC, a financial assistance of Rs 38 Lakhs has been granted. The assistance will be used to construct and repair the roads, drains and public utilities in the Ward. A foundation stone laying program for the various developmental works was organized today in the presence of Dr Gopabandu Das, OSD to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. BeMC Mayor Sanghamitra Dalai, Deputy Mayor E Vivek Reddy, Ward No 38 Corporator Swarnalata Sabat and local citizens were also present.
Speaking to Newsroomodisha.com, Dr Gopabandhu Das said that, all the road developmental works will be implemented under the Mukta Yojana and will immensely help the people of Ward No 38. The Government is committed to provide all required financial assistance for developmental works to the Municipal body.
