Bhubaneswar: Bhabani Shankar Bhoi has been elected as Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
The Talasara MLA was elected unopposed for the post.
Bhoi has filed the nomination papers for the post on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik and MLAs congratulated Bhoi for his new role.
