Cuttack: In what could be a big disappointment for the cricket lovers of Odisha, the Board of Cricket Control In India is said to have decided to shift the India-West Indies T20 to be held at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack to elsewhere. Unconfirmed reports say that the match has been shifted keeping in view the rise in Covid-19 cases. The match was scheduled to be held at the Barabati Ground in Cuttack on the 15th of February. According to reports, the BCCI Tours, Fixtures and Technical Committee has recomended to shift all the matches of the Home Series to just two venues at Kolkata and Ahmadabad only. According to some reports, the BCCI Committee has taken a decision to this effect in yesterday’s virtual meeting. Accordingly, there might also be slight change in the dates of both the One Day and T20 match schedule.
The India-West Indies series has three One Day matches and Three T20 matches and are scheduled from 6th February. While the ODIs were slated to be played in Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Kolkata, the T20Is were scheduled to be played at Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, and Thiruvananthapuram.
