Berhampur: The coastal town of Gopalpur in Odisha’s Ganjam district is all set to give the tourists a thrilling experience with the newly constructed adventure park to be being opened to the public soon.
Named after former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, the Biju Adventure Park is the newest addition to the attractions of the serene Gopalpur Beach. The state-of-the-art facility is going to leave an unforgettable experience for tourists and adventurists visiting the famous Gopalpur beach.
The beach town of Gopalpur has already occupied a unique place in the tourism map of Odisha with a number of facilities such as eco-retreat camp, water fountain, a long wooden pole on a sand bed, children’s amusement park, hotels and other amenities. With the opening of the Biju Adventure Park, the tourist footfall to the beach town will increase tremendously.
The trial run of the adventure park has been successfully completed. It will be opened to the public soon, informed Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
Biju Adventure Park will have many interesting and exciting equipments – zip line, giant swing, mechanical bull, cricket net, bubble riding, rope jumping – for the tourists. It has been set up inside the premises of Gopalpur Children’s Park.
The Ganjam administration, in collaboration with the Tourism Department, has developed the park to provide tourists with a lot of fun and exciting entertainment.
As directed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, several developmental works are being carried out to transform the beach into a major tourist destination in the country.
