Cuttack: The long wait is over. The historic Dakota aircraft that was once used by legendary freedom fighter and former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik arrived in Bhubaneswar this evening.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was present at Bhubaneswar airport when the iconic Dakota (DC-3) VT-AUI reached.
The plane was loaded on three long trailers and started its journey to Odisha yesterday night from the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata. It entered Odisha border today morning and reached Bhubaneswar.
This aircraft is a part of Kalinga Airlines, which was founded by Biju Patnaik.
The aircraft will be reassembled and kept at Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport.
