Bhubaneswar: Ruling Biju Janata Dal’s trade union wing Biju Sramika Samukhya (BSS) held its extended state-level executive meet here on Sunday.
At the meeting, the BSS members and leaders have expressed their deep gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his various welfare measures to support the livelihood of the laborers and revive the economy from the clutches of COVID-19 pandemic.
They have lauded the Chief Minister’s COVID assistance package for the landless farmers, construction workers and migrant laborers during the hardship times.
The BSS members have decided to work dedicatedly for the betterment of the laborers in the State and ensure their social security following the ideals and principles of Naveen Patnaik.
The meeting was presided over by veteran trade union leader and BSS president Rajendra Singh.
BJD Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Singh and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Dr. Gopabandhu Dash were present in the meeting.
BJD Organizational Secretary Pranab Prakash Das addressed the gathering through video conferencing.
