Bhubaneswar: Servitors of Jajpur district’s famous Maa Biraja Temple today felicitated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the development package.
Over 100 people and servitors from Jajpur led by Bhaba Prasad Das, Santosh Maliik and Debi Prasad Pani met the Chief Minister at his residence Naveen Niwas here and thanked him profusely for his devotion and development of the 13th century shrine.
“We have come here to express our gratitude to the Chief Minister for his initiatives for the development of pilgrim amenities of the historic temple”, said the servitors.
Recently, the Odisha CM has sanctioned Rs 1 crore to Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur district for the development of pilgrim amenities.
Besides Maa Biraja Temple, as many 22 other religious institutions in the State will also receive Rs 1 crore each for the similar purposes.
As per the decision the funds will be met out of the Special Problem Fund.
