Bhubaneswar: In the wake of bird flu scare, the culling of poultry at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, OUAT has begun today.
According to reports, the area within one km and 10 Km of the infected site has been declared as “Infected Zone” and “Surveillance Zone” respectively. All the poultry birds within one km radius of the infected site will be culled and disposed of by deep burial method.
Meanwhile, as many as 12 Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) have been formed for culling operations and other surveillance activities.
