Bhubaneswar: The Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal today began its month-long ‘Jan Sachetanata Abhijan’ on coronavirus across the State.
The massive awareness drive, which was launched at the party’s state office here on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, will be observed by the BJD till November 2.
BJD President Naveen Patnaik has asked the party leaders and workers to sensitize the people about COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing norms and honour COVID warriors.
He also urged them to encourage the persons recovered from coronavirus to come forward for plasma donation for treatment of serious patients.
Naveen also asked the BJD workers to distribute masks at ward and panchayat levels.
In a message to the party workers, the BJD supremo had said the each life is precious and has to be saved.
He urged party members to work as a dedicated worker in their areas to strengthen the fight against the pandemic.
