Bhubaneswar: BJD leader Lekhasri Samantsinghar on Wednesday made a veiled attack on the BJP government over the issue of Odia Asmita.
Addressing a press meet, the BJD spokesperson said that the way the BJP raised the issue of Odia Asmita before the elections; it seemed that Odia Asmita will be on the moon when the saffron party comes to power. But what we are seeing now is that they have come to insult the Odia Asmita.
Strongly condemning the Minister’s wrong Odia writing for Bharat, Samantsinghar said that the minister cannot read or write Odia. Even the Chief Minister can neither speak Odia nor speak English properly. And their leaders are teaching us about Odia Asmita, she said.
The Chief Minister is going to Delhi just to take orders. He has come to protect the Asmita of the Centre, she added.
