BJD MLAs Sprinkle Ganga Water to Purify Assembly

Bhubaneswar: The MLAs of opposition Biju Janata Dal on Thursday sprinkled ‘Ganga Water’ in the Assembly for the purification of the House.

The BJD MLAs alleged that the House had been spiritually polluted by the entry of policemen.

Led by opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallik, the BJD legislators sprinkled the sacred water in the Assembly before attending the proceedings.

They were seen sprinkling Ganga Water from earthen pots with mango leaves in every nook and corner of the House.

The BJD has strongly criticized the government’s efforts to silence the voice of opposition.
