New Delhi: BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahtab has been appointed as a member of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for the year 2019-20 on Thursday.
The 15-member committee will be chaired by the leader of the Congress party in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
The PAC has members from the Lok Sabha and seven from Rajya Sabha.
The Lok Sabha members in the committee are Jayant Sinha, Ajay (Teni) Misra, Satya Pal Singh, Subhash Chandra Baheria, Sudheer Gupta, Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Vishnu Dayal Ram, Jagadambika Pal and Ram Kripal Yadav.
Other members include T R Baalu, Rahul Ramesh Shewale, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Balashowry Vallabbhaneni and Bhartruhari Mahtab.
The Rajya Sabha members in PAC are Rajeev Chandrasekhar, MV Rajeev Gowda, Naresh Gujral, Bhubaneswar Kalita, CM Ramesh, Sukendu Sekhar Ray and Bhupender Yadav.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also announced chairpersons of the Committee on Public Undertakings, Estimates Committee and Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
