Jajpur: Today social media has become a powerful tool in the hands of people who want to connect with their public representatives. There are growing instances when the authorities are responding to the public immediately when approached through social media. A similar incident happened two days back with the Jajpur Lok Sabha Member Sarmistha Sethi.
The BJD Lok Sabha MP reached out to the people to resolve their problem within 24 hours of getting a request on social media.
As per reports, the Jajpur MP rushed to Raichanda village in Dharmasala block after a local resident drew attention of her about the drainage problem.
A retired government employee named Ganapati Sahu took to Facebook to request the BJD MP to visit his village to solve the drainage problem.
Sahu highlighted the inconveniences faced by the people due to the drainage problem.
Within 24 hours of getting the request, Sethi visited the village and assured the villagers to look after their problem. The BJD MP’s timely response has earned praises from the villagers.
