BJD Passes Resolution to Provide 40% Tickets to OBC Candidates in Panchayat and Municipal Elections

Bhubaneswar: In a historic move, Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal today announced that it would give 40% of party tickets to OBC candidates in the three-tier Panchayat and Municipal elections.

A resolution in this regard has been moved by BJD Organizational Secretary Pranab Prakash Dash.

In its executive meeting, the BJD has passed the resolution, which has been approved by the party President Naveen Patnaik.
