BJD Raises Several Issues Concerning Odisha’s Development in Rajya Sabha
New Delhi: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal today raised several issues concerning to the development of the State and pending with the Centre, which Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been repeating raising with the Centre.
BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra demanded the inclusion of Sambalpuri/Kosali and Ho languages in 8th Schedule of Indian Constitution.
He also urged the Centre to take steps for setting up second AIIMS Hospital in Sundargarh district.
Dr. Patra also demanded establishment of Odisha Vidhan Parishad and Shree Jagannath International Airport at Puri.
He also demanded Special Category Status for the State and better telecommunication coverage as 2235 villages in Odisha don’t have coverage.
