BJD Reiterates Demand for Passing of 33% Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament

New Delhi: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal today reiterated its demand for passing of the 33% Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament.

BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra has raised the issue in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

Speaking in the House in the Special Mention, he said that Odisha Legislative Assembly had passed a resolution demanding 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies.

He also mentioned about how 22 BJD delegations were sent out to 22 national and regional parties by BJD President Naveen Patnaik asking for support for passage of Women’s Reservation Bill.

Dr. Patra also stated that BJD had provided 33% reservation for Women by BJD President Naveen Patnaik for Lok Sabha seats of the Party in 2019 elections.
