Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal has retained the Pipli assembly seat in Puri district with landslide victory.
BJD candidate Rudrapratap Maharathy, son of late Pradeep Maharathy, won the by-election by nearly 21000 votes.
In the 2019 elections, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led party had won the seat by margin of 15,787 votes.
