BJD to Celebrate Odisha Day across State

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will celebrate the 89th Odisha Day across the state on April 1.

On the instruction of BJD President Naveen Patnaik, the party has decided to celebrate Odisha Day in every constituency and district offices in the state, informed Debi Prasad Mishra, Chairman of the Coordination Committee, and Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Convener of the Party’s Membership Campaign Committee in a press conference held at Sankha Bhawan.

On the occasion, the BJD will pay tributes to the great sons of the soil who played a key role in the formation of the state on a linguistic basis.

Highlighting the significance of the celebrations, Mishra said that Odisha Day is a day to reflect on the remarkable history of the state and the great personalities who fought for its linguistic identity. He also emphasized Odisha’s global recognition for its rich cultural heritage and the importance of keeping this legacy alive for future generations.

The main event will be held at Sankha Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. It will be graced by party supremo Naveen Patnaik, the BJD said.
