Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s three-time legislator Pranab Prakash Das has added yet another feather in his cap by becoming one of the best MLAs in the country.
The young, energetic and dynamic BJD leader, who is known for his exceptional commitment towards development of his Jajpur assembly constituency, has been ranked as one of the 50 Best MLAs in India in a recent survey conducted by Fame India-Asia Post.
Pranab Prakash Das, most popularly called as Bobby Das, has been listed among the ’50 prominent legislators survey’ under the ‘intent’ category.
Speaking to the Thenewsroom.co.in exclusively, Bobby Das said, “All credit goes to our honorable Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. He is the source of inspiration to me. What I have achieved today because of his guidance”.
“Following the ideals of our Chief Minister, I will continue to work for the development of my constituency and State”, the Jajpur MLA added.
The survey was conducted on a total of 3,958 MLAs where the agency determined 50 different categories and distributed them. The survey was done in three ways in which stake hold, online and data analytics were prominent.
A total of 1,500 MLAs were revealed in the online survey. After these names were put in the stake hold survey, a total of 150 MLAs above were selected for the last round. All these names were put in a list through data analysis where their works were audited, in-depth study of the proposals presented by them, bills and participation in their debates and so on. Following this, a list of 50 prominent top legislators was prepared.
Bobby Das was praised for his determination for welfare of the people in the report.
In March this year when the corona outbreak hit Odisha, Bobby was the first legislator who donated his three months’ salary to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to provide humanitarian help to the people affected by the crisis situation.
Das had also pledged local administration to utilize his entire MLA-LAD fund of 2020-21 towards fighting COVID-19 in his constituency.
While donating the fund, the MLA said that every life is precious and every bit counts.
Besides, Bobby also led a slew of humanitarian initiatives in Jajpur district to help the migrants and destitute people in the wake of COVID induced prolonged lockdown.
One of the youngest leaders in BJD, Pranab Prakash Das has been a member of the Odisha Legislative assembly from 2009.
Bobby Das, who previously served as Energy Minister, has been the Organizational Secretary of the ruling Biju Janata Dal since March 5 this year.
