Bhubaneswar: Coming down heavily on the incident of shoe hurling at the Odisha assembly speaker, the Biju Janata Dal has demanded unconditional apologies from the three Bharatiya Janata Dal MLAs involved in the incident. Reacting to the allegations of the BJP members, government chief whip Pramila Mallick has said that they should first apologize for their ghastly behavior.
It’s giving a wrong precedence and what will the coming generation learn from this incident, she asked. The speaker has taken the decision to suspend the three members according to the rule book.
On the other hand the Congress party has also criticized the BJP for the incident. Reacting on the issue, senior congress MLA Sura Routray has said that it’s a dastardly act in the temple of democracy.
