Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party has named its senior leader and former MLA Pradip Purohit as its candidate for Padampur by-polls. The party’s Central Election Committee has cleared his name. He will file his nomination papers tomorrow. The voting for the by-elections will be held on December 5th and the counting will be held on December 8th. The by-polls are necessitated due to the sad demise of BJD MLA Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha.
