BJP Should Apologize to People of Padampur for Misleading Them on Padampur Railway Line: BJD

Bhubaneswar: The BJP should apologize the people of Padampur for misleading them on the Bargarh to Nuapada via Padampur railway line, said BJD on Monday.

Reacting to BJP MP Bargarh Suresh Pujari’s press meet, senior BJD leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sasmit Patra said that the Bargarh MP has proven Union Minister DharmendraPradhan’s statement of 15th December, 2018 wrong wherein Pradhan had stated that the railway line has already been sanctioned in 2018.

BJP MP Bargarh Suresh Pujari in a press meet this morning stated that the Bargarh to Nuapada via Padampur railway line was sanctioned by the Railways about 11 months back in December, 2021, Patra said.

Bargarh MP should now formally clarify as to whether Union Minister Pradhan’s statements of 2018 were wrong. Not only that, he should clarify to the people of Padampur as well as to who is wrong and who is right. Was the BJP and Union Minister wrong and is Pujari right? Pujari should also inform that since he has proven that Union Minister Pradhan was wrong, then would BJP apologize to the people of Padampur for misleading them in December, 2018 stating that the Padampur Railway line has been sanctioned? Was that also part of false promises made to the people of Padampur by the BJP?, the BJD MP asked.

Pujari further mentioned that the Padampur Railway line has found mention in the Blue Book. He is an experienced MP but for his knowledge the Railways Pink Book determines the allocation of funds for a Railway project of the nation and not the blue book. The 2022-23 Pink Book of Indian Railways does not have any mention of the Padampur railway line, the BJD leader said while urging the media to also verify this from the East Coast Railway.

It seems the BJP is trying to hide now as they have been exposed on the Padampur railway line and utter neglect by the BJP-led Centre of the people of Padampur, he added.
