Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange today held a review meeting to take stock of the dengue situation in the capital city.
The meeting was attended by health officials and staff members of the BMC.
The BMC informed that that a dengue awareness Ratha will move around the city to sensitize the people. Mosquito spray and cleanliness drive with source reduction will be done extensively, it added.
Earlier, the BMC had launched ‘Dry Days Bhubaneswar’ as a campaign to curtail the outbreak of mosquito-borne viral disease in the city. The Dry Days are being observed every Sunday and Thursdayto curb the rise of dengue cases in the capital. As part of the initiative, massive awareness and sanitation drives will be carried out on these two days in all 67 wards of the city.
