Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has sealed the main branch of the State Bank of India today as eight of its staff members have been found to be Covid-19 positive. The branch will be sealed for two days during which its premises will be sanitized. In its Order, the BMC said, “In view of detection of a series of Covid-19 positive cases in State Bank of India, Main Branch, Bhubaneswar, in larger public interest and with a view to contain the further spread of the virus, State Bank of India, Main Branch, Unit 1 (Ground Floor & First Floor), Bhubaneswar is sealed for a period of 48 hours from Today.
The premises of the bank branch shall be sanitized immediately by the bank authorities in strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the government of Odisha and Government of India. No one shall be allowed to move into or from outside the premises during the period of sealing, except authorized personnel of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
The detected positive cases are directed to remain in isolation at their respective residences. Further, if any positive case needs medical attention, the Bank authorities are to intimate the same to BMC immediately.
The BMC will also set up an RT-PCR Test camp for all the staff of the said bank on Tuesday in which all staff, housekeeping and security personnel shall be tested invariably.
