BMC Shares Details of Six New COVID-19 Cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today shared the details of six new cases detected in the state capital in the last 24 hours. 

Of the six cases, five cases are hospital cases and one is local contact case.

Four persons, including three employees and a student of AIIMS Bhubaneswar tested positive for COVID-19 and another male who tested positive is an employee of Apollo Hospitals.

Besides, a 35-year old male from Pokhariput near DAV school is a local contact case. The person has a recent travel history to Kandhamal, the BMC said.

Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts & nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitized and will be under active surveillance, the civic body added.

Meanwhile, one more person from Bhubaneswar recovered from the disease.

As on today, 99 persons tested positive for the COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar. While 54 persons recovered from the disease, three succumbed to it.

The number of active cases in the capital city stands at 42.

COVID-19
