Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to deploy drones to tackle mosquito menace in the capital city.
The drone will be used to spray chemical in the inaccessible areas of the city, said BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange.
Since the portable machines can be easily carried inside residential premises and buildings for fogging it will prove helpful in combating the mosquito-borne diseases.
The civic body has also decided to increase the number of vehicles engaged in carrying out fogging activity in the city. Additional teams will be engaged for cutting bushes and intensify cleaning activities, the BMC Commissioner added.
