Chilika: In a tragic incident, one person went missing and ten others were rescued when the boat they were onboard capsized today afternoon in Chilika lake. The tourists from Balasore were returning after having darshan at the Kalijai Temple. All the tourists have been taken to the Balugaoun Medical for treatment. The missing person is said to be a small businessman from the Chilika area. The boat capsized due to heavy westerly winds.
The Balugaon Police, which was in the nearby area, rached the spot on getting the information and rescued the tourists. According to sources, the toll in the accident could have been more if they had not worn Lifejackets. The lifejackets helped very much in saving their lives.
