Boudh: First plasma donor from Odisha’s Boudh district on Friday donated plasma at VIMSAR Burla for treatment of critical COVID-19 patients.
This has been informed by District Emergency Operation Centre, Boudh through its Twitter handle.
“First plasma donor from Boudh Dist today donated plasma at VIMSAR, Burla. We express heartfelt gratitude to him and hope other recovered persons come forward and help those in need. Together we fight, together we succeed”, the centre tweeted.
Meanwhile, Boudh Collector Lalatendu Mishra appreciated the donor saying that one act of humanity can save many lives.
“We hope this first case of plasma donation sets a stage for others to come forward and be plasma warriors”, Mishra said.

Convalescent plasma therapy has been showing encouraging results in Odisha. So far 114 patients have recovered from COVID-19 with plasma therapy.
