Boudh: Police ASI Arrested for Taking Bribe 

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested an assistant sub-inspector of police in Boudh district on bribery charges.

Madan Mohan Pradhan, ASI of Police, Janhapanka OP, Boudh PS has been apprehended by the vigilance sleuths while taking bribe of Rs 15,000 from a person (on whose complaint a case was registered in the police station) to attach strong sections of law in the case, of which he was the IO.

In this connection, a case has been registered under Section of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 by Berhampur Vigilance division against the ASI.

The Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance stated.
