BSE Modifies SOP for Matric Exam Paper Evaluation

Bhubaneswar: As the evaluation of answer sheets of High School Certificate (HSC), State Open School Certificate (SOSC) and Madhyama Examination will commence from May 20, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has come up with a set of modified procedures for the evaluation process.

As per the procedures, the District Education Officers (DEOs) are requested to ensure that all Head of the institutions under their jurisdiction relieve the Chief Examiners/ Deputy Chief Examiners/ Examiners/ Scrutinisers who had joined for evaluation on March 18 and 19 so as to enable them to join at their pre-designated evaluation centres on May 20 at the prescribed time.

Nearly 6,000 more numbers of examiners have been appointed and their names are available at the board’s official website www.bseodisha.ac.in. All institution heads are requested to download the same and relieve the newly appointed examiners and the examiners who had already joined for evaluation on March 18 and 19.

Due to lockdown situation, some of the teachers might have left the headquarters and gone to their home towns in other districts. For this, there will be short fall of examiners at some evaluation centres. Keeping this in view, the board has taken steps to engage the teachers at evaluation centres where they are currently residing, the BSE said.

Registration of those teachers either with the concerned DEO or at nearby evaluation centre is necessary. The registration form is available at the board’s website. Registration should be completed by May 19.

The evaluators will have to follow the COVID -19 guidelines: wearing of mask, hand sanitization on entering the centre campus, maintenance of social distance.

Evaluation centre not able to accommodate more number of units can do the valuation work in the timings as given below.
In order to maintain social distance, extension centres have also been selected to carry out evaluation, where the evaluation centre is unable to accommodate allotted number of units, the BSE added.
