Bhubaneswar: With the guiding principle of ‘Every life is precious’, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards in Nayagarh and Jagatsinghpur districts.
With this, as many as 28 districts in Odisha have been covered under the ambitious scheme, which entitles the beneficiaries free treatment at all government hospitals in the State and more than 200 empanelled private hospitals. Each family can avail of treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in the case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
Odisha is the first State in the country to have launched such an innovative and health assurance scheme for the people.
The BSKY smart health scheme has been once again praised by the people on social media. The hashtag # #BSKYBestHealthcareScheme has trended on Twitter.
