Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today advised the newly recruited teachers of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) to lay stress on building good charter and moral values in students.
Speaking at the orientation programme of principals and newly recruited teachers of OAVs at Rabindra Mandap here today the Chief Minister said, “Teaching is a noble profession.
The destiny of the nation is shaped in the classrooms. Hence, the role of the teachers should not be confined in syllabus teaching; rather they should focus on building good charters and high moral values in students”.
Reiterating that his government is committed to provide quality education, Naveen said that there are 214 OAVs in the State and 100 such schools will be opened soon in order to fulfill aspirations of the students.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over the appointment letters to 489 newly recruited teachers and 8 principals in the programme. He also felicitated 9 students who have secured highest marks in CBSE 10th examination.
