Bhubaneswar: With the increase in fuel prices, the bus fares of all categories of buses have been hiked under the automatic fare adjustment mechanism in Odisha.
According to a notification by the State Transport Authority (STA), while fares of ordinary and express buses have been increased by five paise per km, fares for deluxe buses and AC deluxe have been increased by 10 paise.
The fare for the ordinary bus will now be 85p/km as against 80p/km and the fare for express bus will be 89p/km instead of 84p/km, notification stated.
Passengers travelling in AC deluxe buses will have to pay Rs 1.49/km as against the Rs 1.39 per km, the notification added.
