Bargarh: In a bid to boost healthcare services in Bargarh district, the Odisha Government will set up a cancer hospital in the district.
This has been announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today.
During his visit to the district, Naveen launched a slew of projects to accelerate the pace of development in Bargarh.
The Chief Minister inaugurated seven major development projects worth Rs 70 crore and laid foundation stones for 22 similar projects worth Rs 60 crore.
The CM inaugurated the newly-constructed building at the District Headquarters Hospital. The six-storey building set up at the cost of Rs 45 crore will have 300 beds.
Besides, Naveen also inaugurated the much-awaited district science centre at Bargarh.
The CM also inaugurated the 150th branch of ICICI bank at Bijepur.
Naveen addressed a huge public gathering at Turkela meeting ground and distributed assets and benefits to beneficiaries under different schemes to the people.
During his tour, Naveen also visited the famous Samaleswari temple to offer prayer to the deity.
