Center Issues Unlock 4 Guidelines; Further Extends Phased Reopening of Activities

New Delhi: The Center today issued the Unlock 4 guidelines that will come into effect from September 1st. While schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will remain closed, the States and UTs may permit half of the teaching staff to come to schools for online teaching from Sept 21. Students of Class 9-12 can voluntarily visit schools, with parents’ written consent.

The guidelines issued today allow Metro services to resume from Sept 7 in a graded manner. It also allows public gatherings from Sept 21 with a ceiling of 100 persons. Cinema halls, swimming pools, theatres and similar places will remain closed. However, open air theatres will be allowed to open from Sept 21.

The guidelines will be in force till September 30th.
