Chatrapur: Chatrapur Hockey Association (CHA) today celebrated the National Sports Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
On the occasion, the CHA organized a friendly match between two leading teams of the town – Chatrapur Orange and Chatrapur Blue.
Hockey Olympian Amit Rohidas, who has conferred with the prestigious Biju Patnaik Award for Sports by the Odisha Government, attended the match as a special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Rohidas has encouraged the players to take up hockey passionately.
He also congratulated the Chatrapur Orange, which won the match 1-0.
