Chief Secy Reviews Administrative Preparedness for PM Modi’s Odisha Visit

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Friday chaired a state-level review meeting on administrative preparedness for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the State on March 5. The Prime Minister will land at Bhubaneswar Airport in the afternoon on that day by a special plane from Telangana.

The Prime Minister will travel to Chandikhol in Jajpur district where he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various projects in a programme. Later, the PM will attend a public meeting.

After completing the programme in Chandikhol, the Prime Minister will return to Bhubaneswar in the evening and take a flight to Kolkata.

In this context, Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena reviewed the details of the administrative preparedness and security arrangements with the senior officers and police administration at the Lok Seva Bhawan.

The Chief Secretary directed the officials to make foolproof arrangements for PM Modi’s visit.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Deoranjan Kumar Singh, Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Principal Secretary of Works Department Vir Vikram Yadav, Principal Secretary of Finance Department Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary of Commerce & Transport Department Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of I&PR Department Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commissioner-Cum-Secretary of Health Department Shalini Pandit, DGP Arun Kumar Sarangi, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda, Director Intelligence Soumendra Priyadarshi and other senior officials.

Dr. Santosh Bala, Special Secretary of Home Department gave a detailed account about the Prime Minister’s tour programme in Odisha.

Jajpur Collector, SP and other senior district administration officials participated in the meeting through virtual mode.
