New Delhi: Amid growing protests over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in several parts of the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today issued advisory to all states and UTs urging to take steps to contain violence over the Act.
The Central government has been strongly criticized by the Opposition under sharp criticism for the unrest in the country.
Several parts of the Northeast, including Assam and Meghalaya and West Bengal are witnessing massive protests over the past few days over the Act.
