Closure of Schools: Speaker Directs SME Minister To Make Statement In House Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro has asked the School and Mass Education Minister Samir Das to make a statement in the house on the issue of closure of around 14000 schools in the state.

The ruling came after the opposition parties created raucous in the house demanding government response in the issue. The house had to be adjourned many times after the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress members came to the well of the house and demanded a discussion on the issue.
