Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced an increase in the pension for Nirman Shramik.
According to the Chief Minister’s announcement, the pension amount of the Nirman Shramiks registered under the Odisha Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board has been increased.
All of them are benefiting from Construction Workers Pension Scheme.
The construction workers, who have crossed the age of 60 years, will now get a monthly pension of Rs 1,000 instead of Rs 500.
Similarly, construction workers above 80 years of age will get Rs 1200 instead of Rs 700.
This new pension will be implemented from the month of February 2024. The necessary expenses in this regard will be borne by the Odisha Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board.
It is worth noting that during the visit of 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian to the districts, the construction workers and their representatives in different areas drew the attention of the Chairman.
After coming to know about this, the Chief Minister has taken the decision to enhance pension of Nirman Shramik.
