The Odisha Government has launched the OMM in 2017 for promotion of millets in tribal areas of the State.
The OMM is a unique project, which focuses on improved production of nutri-cereals, local consumption, procurement under MSP and distribution through PDS.
Earlier, the NITI Aayog had lauded the OMM and urged other States to replicate it for promotion of millets, pulses and oilseeds.
