Berhampur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the Center of Excellence (CoE) at ITI Hinjilicut to enhance the skills of the professionals in power transmission sector.
During his visit to Ganjam district, the Chief Minister inaugurated the CoE, which was built with help of the State Government and support of Larsen & Toubro.
The State Government had signed an MoU with L&T to setup the Centre of Excellence on 400KV EHVTL Tower construction and training on its preventive maintenance and transmission lines using latest drone technology.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, BDO Hinjilicut Subrat Kumar Jena, EO Hinjilicut Dr.Manoranjan Sahu, Thasildar Hinjilicut Prabhat Ku Parida had joined the inauguration ceremony virtually.
Er. Rajesh Tripathy, Principal ITI Hinjilicut, Siba Prasad Mullick, Deputy Director,B&M, DTE&T, Cuttack, Satyanda Sethy, Senior, Lect Civil, Renugopal, LT Project In-charge, Prasant Ku Malik, DM, OPTCL, Golak Bihari Pattanaik, AM, OPTCL and staffs of ITI Hinjilicut, trainees and 1st batch students were present at site for celebrating the event.
In view of the growing demand for skilled manpower in the power transmission sector, the CoE is expected to play a major role in supplying the required manpower to the sector.
