Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Cyber Safety Campaign at the Kalinga Stadium here on Saturday.
As part of the campaign, 34 cyber security raths will travel across the state from today to various schools, colleges and panchayats to spread awareness about cyber security.
In the last few years, the rate of cyber crime has increased alarmingly across the country and state. Awareness and caution is a key way to prevent this. Therefore, the campaign has been launched to create awareness in this regard at all levels across the state.
The Chief Minister has called everyone to be alert and safe from cyber crime.
On this occasion, Minister for State for Home Affairs Tusharkanti Behera, Minister Ashok Panda, MLAs Bhubaneswar Ananta Narayan Jena, Susant Kumar Rout, Mayor Sulochana Das, Chief Secretary P.K. Jena, DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal and other senior officials were present.
Cyber safety awareness Raths will be welcomed by the district administration in this campaign. Awareness programs will be conducted in at least two educational institutions every day. Apart from this, awareness programs will also be organized at various public places in the block and police station area. Quiz competitions will be conducted among students in schools and colleges.
Mini Marathon will be organized in different cities on the morning of October 8. An evening walk program will be organized on October 14th to sensitize senior citizens. The graduation ceremony will be held on October 15.
Padma awardees and freedom fighters will be present along with district administration officials.
