Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today lauded the personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Odisha Fire Services for volunteering to donate plasma for the treatment of serious patients fighting with the COVID-19 in the State.
The NRDF and Odisha Fire Services personnel have come forward after recovering from COVID-19 to donate plasma for the treatment of serious patients.
“Commend the @NDRFHQ and @Odisha FSHGsCD personnel for coming forward after recuperating to donate Plasma for the treatment of serious patients”, the CM tweeted.
“This gesture will inspire other Covid patients to donate blood after recovery & help save precious lives”, Naveen said.

On Saturday, DG Fire Services Satyajit Mohanty said ten security personnel will donate plasma in the first phase at SCBMCH Cuttack.
Plasma therapy has brought a great relief to serious covid patients in the State. Out of six critical patients who are now under plasma therapy, as many as four are responding very well and they are now not in need of oxygen support, and will soon be discharged, said an official statement.
