CM Naveen Inaugurates Akhayara Bhoomi ahead of First World Odia Language Conference 

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated the Akhayara Bhoomi ahead of the first World Odia Language Conference, which is going to be held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar from tomorrow.

To make the first ever conference even more memorable, the Akhayara Bhoomi has been constructed in ‘Kalamandal’ area in Bhubaneswar.

To commemorate the first World Odia Language Conference, the Akhayara Bhoomi is a unique display of Odisha art and sculpture reflecting the ‘Kalingan’ style of architecture in Khondalite stones.

The Chief Minister said that the beautiful letters in the Odia alphabet will continue to keep alive our love of language and celebrate our language, culture, art and architecture.

The CM expressed his hope that the Akhayara Bhoomi will continue to inspire the future generations about the great heritage and the glory of the classical Odia language.

It is worth noting that 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian has regularly visited the Kalamandal area to review the construction of Akhayara Bhoomi.

Culture Minister Aswini Kumar Patra, MLA Anant Narayan Jena, MLA Sushant Raut, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, Chief Advisor to CMO R. Balakrishnan, Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Principal Secretary of I&PR Department Sanjay Kumar Singh and Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Odia Language Literature & Culture Department Sujata Rout Karthikeyan were present during the inauguration ceremony.
