Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today joined the millions of Odias across the globe to recite ‘Bande Utkal Janani’ to honor the COVID-19 warriors for their selfless service and strong dedication in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
From frontline health workers, PRIs and peoples representatives, government employees cutting across all departments, private sector employees, self-help groups members, service-minded individuals – all have worked round the clock keeping their personal lives aside providing service to the people, the CM said.
It is because of their efforts, Odisha has been able to manage the corona pandemic effectively today. The time has come for us to acknowledge and honour all those people who have worked tirelessly to keep us safe, Naveen said.
Responding to the Chief Minister’s appeal, Odias across the globe sang Bande Utkal Janani at 5.30 PM to show their solidarity with the COVID-19 warriors.
The leaders from various political parties, celebrities from sports and film joined to recite the state anthem to honor the frontline warriors. The East Coast Railway also made special arrangements to play the song at all railway stations across the State.
