Puri: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards in Puri district.
During his visit to the district, the Chief Minister distributed the smart health cards from Brahmagiri.
The BSKY smart health card, which is the first of its kind service in the country, enables the beneficiary access to medical services at all Government hospitals of the State and more than 200 private hospitals of the State and outside without any financial problem.
Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
Over three lakh beneficiaries of the district will get the smart health cards.
The CM has also laid foundation and inaugurated various developmental projects worth Rs 1006 crore in the district.
During the visit, Naveen laid foundation for projects worth Rs 893.34 crore. The CM also inaugurated projects worth Rs 113.48 Cr which include water supply, energy projects, RMC-Sakhigopal, bridge work (BSY), PMGSY road, building, and tourism infrastructure.
Earlier this week, Naveen distributed the BSKY smart health cards in Gajapati district.
