Bhubaneswar: Kandhamal, Gajapati and Angul districts are all set to join the ambitious Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme today with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launching various developmental projects for these districts. Under the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme, the Chief Minister will launch 2099 projects worth Rs 85.5 crore in Kandhamal district. Likewise, Rs 112.5 crore will be spent for 2796 developmental projects of Angul district. Likewise, 1662 projects of Gajapati district worth Rs 74.5 crore will also be launched today by the Chief Minister.
The Government of Odisha us spending Rs 3,397 crore in 6,794 gram panchayats across the State on various developmental projects under the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme. Each panchayat will get Rs 50 lakh under the scheme. Under the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme, the Jagannath culture will be preserved in villages. All temples and religious places will be developed. Efforts were being made to improve digital infrastructure in each village which will lead to setting up of a science park, work hub and banking facilities. Primary schools will also be included in this programme for development.
