Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today talked to Superintendent of Police (SP) Kandhamal Prateek Singh over telephone and appreciated the efforts of the SP and his team in containing Maoist activities in the district.
The Chief Minister has also assured all supports in this regard.
In a massive anti-Maoist operation, the Odisha Police gunned down four Maoists in a fierce encounter at Sirla forest in Tumudibandha in Kandhamal district and recovered huge haul of arms and ammunition from the spot.
Earlier, a Maoist camp was also busted in Summarbandha forest area under Phiringia police limits in Kandhamal district by the Special Operation Group (SOG) under Odisha Police.
